Buzz is that his comfort level as a host was not satisfactorySunny Deol, who was all set to make his television debut like several other Bollywood folk, has hit a roadblock.
The actor was to host a stunt-based reality show that was announced in April. Seven months later and after a shooting spell, there is no sign of it taking off.
There has been buzz that the small screen debut might not happen and after a rethink it was decided to keep it on hold. There have also been apprehensions about how comfortable Sunny will appear as a reality show host.
Action genreSays a source, "This year several new names from Bollywood like Arjun Rampal and Preity Zinta have taken to hosting TV shows. Likewise Sunny Deol was also considered. He was also keen to try out something new. The actor had taken a while to give his nod as it was an unfamiliar territory to him.

Finally it was decided that he was best suited to host a show that involved action keeping in mind his dhai kilo ka haath image."Soon after the announcement, Sunny had shot for a few episodes at Film City.
Adds the source, "But there were some technical glitches that required some redoing. Eventually Sunny got busy with his film commitments and the show went on hold."
There was also speculation that his father Dharmendra and him would co-host the show's episodes but meanwhile Dharam went on to host a reality show on another channel which went on air and finished on schedule.
Visibility factorAt its launch, Sunny had stated that he was keen about doing a stint on TV. The reclusive actor had admitted that visibility was important for an actor, the reason why he had agreed to turn to the small screen. The programme was to feature daring stuntmen who put their lives at risk for their profession.
The source continues, "With Sunny keen on relaunching the family production banner besides Ghayal 2 and planning his son Karan's debut, it looks unlikely that his small screen calling will happen for now."
