Producer Ekta Kapoor and director Milan Luthria seem to be having issues. The filming of the film Once Upon a Time... has been halted after only a single schedule.
The movie went on floors in May earlier this year and after an initial shooting stint, the work on the film has been stuck. It was a prestigious film for both the producer and director, but the creative differences between them are hurting the film.
Dates wasted
The source added, "Ajay Devgn, who is one of the leads in the film, had blocked his dates for the film, but since no shooting happened, he gave those dates to other projects. As this is a multi-starrer (Emraan Hashmi, Kangna Ranaut, Prachi Desai along with Devgn) the dates of many actors have been wasted. When it was launched, OUATIM was supposed to be completed by the year-end and was going to have an April-May 2010 release. But now because of the delay, the release date of the film might be pushed back.
Ekta says, "There are no creative differences between Milan and me because I haven't even seen the rushes or a single frame of the film. We completed a schedule in September, which only had Emraan in it and seven days of work with Ajay. We were to have the second schedule in October but Milan felt it would be more economical to shoot it in December and that's why we are now combining both the schedules in December."
As far as the film getting delayed she says, "We were to release the film in May but now we might be releasing in July as May has six releases."
