Though she played a supporting role in her debut flick Maneesh Sharma's Ladies V/Ricky Bahl last year, she got noticed and notched up several awards. She reaped honours for being the Best Newcomer to the Best Supporting Actress to the Superstar of Tomorrow. Her next flick Habib Faisal's Ishaqzaade that released earlier this year had her essay the female lead for which too she earned laudable reviews.
Just when everyone assumed that Parineeti would be snapped up in several other projects, the actress is still awaiting her third B-Town outing. Touted as the next big thing in Bollywood, Priyanka Chopra's cousin currently has no takers!u00a0She has a three-film deal with Yash Raj Films. After Ladies v/s Ricky Bahl and Ishaqzaade, she has to do one more film. But so far no announcement has been made with her in the cast. And for those films in which there was buzz about being cast have either not taken off or she finds someone else being cast.
Says a source, "There was a great deal of speculation that she would be cast in Atul Sabharwal's film being produced by Aditya Chopra which is Arjun Kapoor's next project. But the makers decided to take newcomer Sasha Agha, daughter of yesteryear actress-singer Salma Agha."u00a0Adds the source, "There was also buzz about her being part of Abhinav Kashyap's next project with Ranbir Kapoor. But with Ranbir having walked out of it, the project is currently at a standstill.
