The makers of the upcoming Ranbir Kapoor-Deepika Padukone starrer, 'Tamasha', were to be honoured by the French embassy in New Delhi this week. As the film has been extensively shot in Corsica, the authorities felt it would boost tourism potential to the country. Corsica, an island in the Mediterranean Sea, belongs to France.

However, in the wake of the recent Paris terror attacks, the felicitation function stands cancelled.

The film's director Imtiaz Ali and producer Sajid Nadiadwala were to be honoured at a special event. The function had been timed as a countdown to the film's release next week.
Ranbir and Deepika had shot for almost a month in Corsica in July last year.
The film's spokesperson says, "We are sad and shocked to learn about the terrorist attacks in Paris. We extend our heartiest condolences to the people who have suffered and lost in this incident. We stand with the French embassy and tourism department."
