Sophie Choudry makes it her business to always look great. Varying between chic, bold, wild or understated, Sophie knows that she can pull off any look that she experiments with. "But most of the times I hardly get 15 minutes to dress up!" says the lass. She tells how she manages to get ready in a jiffy:
The master plan
Plan your look in your head first. Since we women are pros at multi-tasking, we can easily map the details in our heads while we take a shower. Visualise how you want to look. This will ease the task of assembling your clothes, accessories and make-up.
Tied up
On a day when you have to rush to a party and your hair's a mess, just wash the top of your hair; it takes only two minutes. If you don't prefer a wash, put some talc in your hair and comb it. When my hair's not cooperating, I just push it into a ponytail. Even a messy plait is super for a casual look.
Make-up your mind
Organise your make-up kit beforehand. Put eye make-up in one pouch, lipstick in another. My make-up kit must-haves are kohl pencil, blush, lip-gloss and a highlighter; it makes your skin look great.
Ear and there
I think when you are getting ready in a hurry; putting your accessories together becomes a problem. My trick is to go with a great pair of earrings, as trying neckpieces takes time and you can never settle on one choice. Go for one statement piece and you're done.
Bagging it
If you get caught up in trying to colour co-ordinate your bag and shoes, you'll end up taking forever. Don't experiment at the ninth hour, just stick to the classics.
Ooh la la!
A super perfume and a killer smile will complete your party ensemble. Feel fabulous whether you're in jeans, hot dress or a gown.
