Bollywood actors are often applauded for the lengths that they go to in order to bring authenticity to their roles, but, filmmakers of the industry are infrequently credited for partaking in unusual antics to facilitate easy productions. Anurag Basu must have picked up a trick or two from the dance reality show he had judged in the past, when he took to the streets of Morocco to shake a leg. The director, who is currently filming for his upcoming fantasy, 'Jagga Jasoos', arrived on the location as part of a recce, as he wanted to judge if his tomfoolery gathered any attention that may eventually hamper shoot.
A unit hand tells mid-day, "For a scene in the song Ullu Ka Patha, the film's leading stars, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif needed to dance on the streets of Morocco. To analyse the kind of attention they would gather while filming, Anurag and his assistants began dancing on the street. To their surprise, a crowd instantly gathered to watch them perform."

Instead of amending his ways, Basu decided to use the attention in his favour by including the crowd in his scene. "Ranbir plays the role of a detective and the scene required him to ask for money from strangers. So, on the day of the shoot, Anurag made him really beg. He turned Ranbir into a bhikhari," says the source.
Confirming the news, Basu says, "I asked Ranbir to hold a cap and ask for money from strangers for the song, and people did start putting money in it. Can you believe that he collected 250-300 Moroccan Dirhams (approximately Rs 1,500-Rs 2,000)? So, in the song, you see Ranbir genuinely collecting money from people while dancing."
