Ranbir Kapoor juggled homes for a year after parting ways with his actress-girlfriend Katrina Kaif earlier this year, and subsequently moving out of their Carter Road love nest. The actor, who initially resided in the same home as his parents, Rishi and Neetu Kapoor, and then moved into grandmother Krishna Raj Kapoor's Deonar bungalow, is finally ready to shift into his own pad in a Bandra highrise.
Sources close to RK say the 2,500 sq ft home in luxury high rise, Vastu Pali Hill, which has been designed by Shah Rukh Khan's wife Gauri, has been done up to suit the actor's minimalist taste. His friends are particularly excited about the game room and home theatre.

Though the sprawling lawns of his grandmother's home will be missed, the spacious house has been bejeweled with minimal furniture to provide ample room for his year-old dogs, Lionel and Nido, to roam without knocking down a precious speaker. Ranbir also shopped with Gauri in London when he was there for Karan Johar's birthday, to select artefacts.
The moving in coincides with his grandfather, veteran filmmaker, the late Raj Kapoor's 92nd birth anniversary. Tonight, the actor will host a dinner for his parents and friends, including Ayan Mukerji, Karan Johar and Shah Rukh Khan. But it's the movie marathon over the weekend that his friends await. "There will be a big party on the first weekend. We will watch a few of his favourite films to begin with," a friend told hitlist.

Last evening, Gauri posted pictures of her labour, and we couldn't ignore a copy of Monica Bellucci, a tome that carries sensual photographs of the Italian beauty shot by prominent photographers. Gauri posted: Saving the champagne for tomorrow.
