Ranbir Kapoor has been 'stoned' in Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahaani. The actor appears in a sculpted look in the comedy directed by Rajkumar Santoshi.
His character has the daily habit of talking to a statue standing in the centre of the town he resides. One day he finds that the statue looks exactly like him!

Says Santoshi, "When I explained to Ranbir the scenes, he was extremely enthusiastic about turning into a statue. Even though the entire process of becoming one was tedious and painful. Once in make-up, Ranbir could only stand, there was no way he could even sit, forget lying down for those long hours. He had to keep on standing till all the shots were canned. Yet, he went through the paces with great zest."
The make-up by Vikram Gaikwad, would take Ranbir four hours to do.
Says a unit source, "After the gruelling shoot, all that Ranbir could think was to move around. The freedom to move around after having stood like a stone at one place put him on a different high."
