"There was a growth in collections on the second day (Saturday) and there has been a massive jump on the third day, so I'm very happy for the producers. They (pundits) are saying the film is a 'lambi race ki ghodi'," Ranveer quipped here.
"We have three weeks in front of us, out of which two are holidays. So things are looking up and very good," the actor added.
"Bajirao Mastani", directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, earned Rs.46.77 in the opening weekend.
On Sunday, Ranveer watched the period drama with the audience at a theatre here.
"Watching it with the audience is like a dream come true. There's no better feeling," he said, adding that the "hard work of the entire team has paid off".
"Bajirao Mastani" also stars Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra.
