Rohit Shetty has come to the aid of a group of labourers from the sets of his last release Bol Bachchan. The filmmaker has compensated the workers, who were refused a payment of Rs 26 lakh by the film's producers Ashtavinayak. The company's account has been sealed due to an ongoing legal case.
Our source informs, "The labourers remained unpaid despite Bol Bachchan releasing weeks ago. When Rohit learnt about it, he immediately called them and handed over the amount on Friday night.
Incidentally, a majority of the workers needed the money as they wanted to celebrate upcoming festivals. They spoke to the producers but did not get any payment, as there is a case pending against the film from the film's financiers." Rohit Shetty and the production house remained unavailable for comments.u00a0
