Mumbai International Children Film Festival (MICFF) opened to a great start. The opening ceremony, organised by Ryan Foundation's managing director Grace Pinto, premiered 'MOMMO-The Bogeyman' at the NCPA. The festival showcased 150 films from the best of world cinema for children.u00a0
Dr S Jagathrakshakan, Minister of State, information and broadcasting; Academy Award winner Megan Mylan; Robert Reece and Amole Gupte along with Uma Dacunha were present for the inauguration. Says Grace Pinto, "MICFF is providing Mumbai children a unique opportunity to experience outstanding world cinema and attempts to raise new cultural bridges both internationally and within our local communities. Learning is our passion and we are proud to be supporting this event."
The film was preceded by a dance performance by 'Comic Opera for Children' from Romania, which showcased
the cultural integration of the festival.
