Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan on Thursday allegedlly got involved in a tiff with security personnel at Lucknow's Chowdhary Charan Singh airport after he was asked to vacate the VIP lounge.
The 42-year-old actor, who was in the Lucknow to shoot for Tigmanshu Dhulia-directed 'Bullet Raja', was on his way to Delhi when he reached the Chaudhary Charan Singh airport and entered the VIP lounge, airport sources said.
A Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel then informed Saif that only those who figured in a list authorised by the government could utilise the VIP lounge, and hence he should leave the place, they said.
On being told to vacate the lounge, an ugly row ensued with Saif allegedly refusing to leave.
"When the actor refused to move out and tried to throw around his weight, he was forcibly evicted from the lounge," said an airport source.
The furious actor then created a scene, only to sober down when senior officials intervened.
After the tiff, he waited in the open area like any other traveller and left on a Jet Airways flight.
CISF commandant Gyanendra Kumar while confirming the incident didn't say the actor had gotten involved in a tiff.
The commandant said the actor was asked to leave after airport officials brought it to their notice that he was an unauthorised occupant of the VIP lounge.
The administration as well as the airport security officials, meanwhile, have denied that there was any tiff between the actor and the staff.
