The IPL may be in its final leg, but it's not surprising to see the number of women fans it has attracted. Actor Sameera Reddy is one of them. She tells CS, "I am shocked by the manner in which I have followed the IPL. Frankly, I never understood Test Cricket, but I follow the game quite well nowadays. The Twenty20 format is perfect for women, I say."
So who does she think will be in the final face-off? "I think the Chennai Super Kings will play against the Mumbai Indians in the final. I have been to the stadium to watch a couple of matches, but I prefer watching it on the big screen. It's more relaxed and helps you learn more about the game."
Sam goes on to reveal that Dale Steyn ranks first on her favourites list. "The way he runs in to bowl is amazing. I find him unconventionally good-looking, and like his on-field expressions of intensity and innocence. Now, please don't read too much into this," stresses the girl. We remind Sam that we won't, and that Steyn already has a girlfriend.
"I also met Yousuf Pathan. I like him; he's a very shy and humble person. And not to mention, Sachin Tendulkar! Tomorrow is his birthday and I would like to wish him a great life ahead. I am absolutely amazed by his humility and grace." Sam also says that she's very touched to see how down-to-earth some of these cricketers are. "Considering that cricket is a religion in India, it's very easy for success to go to your head. But these guys are quite level-headed."
However, there's something that's upset Sam a littleu00a0-- Robin Uthappa not making it in the T20 World Cup squad. "He's playing so well yaar. It's little unfair," she says. Well, that's life Sam.
