Sarah's vocals brought alive the romantic mood of Jyotsna's collection which was titled "Secret Garden" and inspired by a girl in love. The showstopper 'with a difference' walked the ramp towards the closing of the show, after she performed her 20-minute long performance.

"It was a rare honour to perform and walk at the show.

This is something, which does not happen always. So, it feels great to be a part of something unique," Sarah, who looked ravishing in a red saree gown, told PTI.

Jyotsna said she wanted to experiment with the concept of showstopper and felt that having models walking on the ramp to Sarah's voice was a "great idea."

"I didn't want to take the expected route of having a showstopper. I wanted something different. I wanted to have a feel of a very modern romance happening. This is why the jazz came into the picture. She (Sarah) was there throughout the presentation to bind it together. It became strong and nice," the designer said.

Jyotsna said her bridal line was inspired by a girl in love. "It is about this girl, who is in love and she has reached a place, where she is lost. It is the 'Secret Garden', which is full of different feelings. So, we have tried to showcase her different moods," she said.

The stage was designed like a garden with artificial flowers adorning its borders.

The youthful and colourful bridal collection had a good mix of full length gowns, pre-draped sarees, cut-out dresses, lehenga gowns, saree gowns, full length Indian dresses, mermaid dresses and bridal lehengas.

The show opened with a peach wedding gown, enhanced by floral motifs and was followed by gown and lehengas in different hues of peach, gold, silver and pink.

Some of the outfits, which stood out in the collection, like a golden lehenga-choli marked with sequins in peach. The sheer dupatta was also in the peach shade, which also found itself on the borders of the lehenga.

A red off-shoulder saree gown drew applause from the crowd. A heavily embroidered red lehenga, which was displayed towards the end of the show, looked traditional, classy and a perfect wedding attire.
"I like petite things. My embroidery is always like that.

I don't like it big. It has to be petite, pretty and for somebody, who is young. So there are tiny flowers, which are incorporated in the garments," she said.

The designer said her colour palette had a story to tell.

"The show flowed like a story. I started with very muted colours like peach because that was the mood, which was young, budding, and then we graduated to red. Sarah is in a red outfit and we end with her. Red comes in the end, showing the phase when the girl is ready for her day."

Jyotsna kept the look of the models minimal as she teamed up the clothes with either earrings or bangles. She also used a lot of lace and lycra, which the designer "fell in love with." "Lycra drapes really well. It is light and shimmery. It falls really well."

She aimed to bring out a line that is dreamy, poetic, romantic, and a lustful line, which she feels is a perfect combination for bridal wear.

The designer said it took her around five months to put together the whole collection.
