At the launch, a journalist told the founder and owner of TEDTalks Chris Anderson that the Indian audience doesn't consume such mature and intelligent content and it would be difficult to say if the Indian audience will accept it.
Anderson's reply to this statement definitely won our hearts and Shah Rukh too gave a piece of his mind.
"This is not TED coming to India; instead, we have taken on this opportunity to bring TEDTalks to India. This is by far the biggest partnership we've done," stated Chris Anderson.
Adding to which, Shah Rukh said, "We always underrate our audience. This is unreasonable to say that people are not ready to accept. Anything if put across in a right way, it gets its way. I think we will fulfill the craving of a lot of audiences through TEDTalks."
TEDTalks India will follow the international format wherein a speaker will address an audience of 100 people, speaking for 18 minutes. The show will be in Hindi for the Indian audience.
