Confirming the same, a source told the publication that King Khan has apparently given his nod for the Mahesh Mathai directorial. 'Salute' is about astronaut Rakesh Sharma, the first Indian to go to space.
"SRK wants to start shooting in September and continue for two months before he starts promoting Zero, which releases on Christmas. After that, he will resume Salute's shoot from January 2019. The film is expected to release next year," told the source.
Apparently, the Rakesh Sharma biopic was picked for an Independence Day, 2018, release. However, with this development, many things will change now.
