Back in Mumbai after 16 years in the US, actress shoots for a Hindi film
Popular VJ-turned-actress Shenaz Treasury is back in town and this time, for good. After moving to New York in 2001, her Bollywood appearances became fewer as she invested more time in her travel show and sitcoms. Currently, she is shooting for 'Munna Michael' starring Tiger Shroff marking her comeback to Hindi films after 'Main Aur Mr Right' (2014). Says Shenaz, "It's a small role. I am not sure how much I can say about it. I moved back two weeks ago. I will keep shuttling between Mumbai and New York since I have two shows there. We are waiting for the announcement of Brown Nation [another show]. I don't have to live there. It's good to be back home. Soon after, I met Sabbir (Khan, director), who offered me this part. I instantly knew I wanted to do it."
Sources say she has already started filming and shares most scenes with Tiger and his leading lady, newcomer Nidhhi Agerwal. Shenaz is now awaiting the release of her Hollywood film, 'The Big Sick'. "It also stars Anupam Kher as my father-in-law. We play a Pakistani family. After 'Delhi Belly' (2011) and 'Ishq Vishk' (2003), I realised that I don't mind playing small roles in big films. That people watch my movies matters more," she adds.
