Shirish Kunder directed the climax for Farah Khan and saved her two days of shooting
It pays to have two directors in a film especially when one is your husband. Farah Khan discovered this while shooting for her new film Tees Maar Khan in Malshej Ghat. Tees Maar Khan, a Farah-Shirish production, stars Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif.

Says a source from the unit, "It was a climax scene that was being shot in a specially constructed train. The train designed by Sabu Cyril cost over a crore and was running on tracks specially prepared for it. Farah was very tense as she had to finish shooting for the title credits song and it was a climax scene based around a train robbery and had the dates of Katrina and Akshay. It was then that Shirish stepped in and offered to shoot in her stead."
A relieved Farah gave up the director's baton willingly to Shirish. "This meant that she could then concentrate on her work while Shirish could complete those important portions and save her two valuable days of work. After he shot the scenes, the whole unit saw it everyone, including Farah, wasu00a0 impressed. Farah was heard asking her cinematographer and technical unit why they hadn't seen those angles before and shot there."
Apparently, Shirish had gone to those places early in the morning and figured out how and where he would shoot each scene. "Normally when husband and wife are sharing their work, ego issues are bound to come up but Farah and Shirish have a great rapport with each other and Farah knows that Shirish's visual sense is more developed and aesthetic than hers. So, for her, Tees Maar Khan will just look that much more gorgeous. She's thrilled at Shirish's work!"
Farah Khan says, "It's true that Shirish directed a few of the climax scenes or I would have to take two extra days to shot them. I am lucky to have two directors in the same film or I would have to spend a huge amount shooting for two more days. The train cost 1 crore and we had to set up fake tracks. It was great having Shirish on board. He helped out with that another camera and now the portions he shot look like a western movie. He has shot through fields, etc and made my film look more beautiful. Shirish was a great help to me."
