Shatrughan Sinha's daughter Sonakshi who was to debut opposite Salman Khan in Sallu's brother Arbaaz Khan's maiden production venture is no longer in the film, say sources.
It is learnt that the actress walked out of the project even before it took off as she she wants a debut with a more substantial role and not be just another glam doll
In doubt
A source reveals, "Anurag Kayshap's brother Abhinav Kayshap, the writer-director of a yet untitled film wanted a young and a fresh face for his directorial debut and thought Sonakshi was perfect for the part. The director, along with his producer Arbaaz had approached the Sinhas for a narration with Sonakshi and everyone in the family had heard the script and liked it immensely. But it seems, as time has passed, by the actress had doubts about the film and her role."
I'm no wallflower
The source further adds, "The budding actress also did some research and realised that all the actresses who have debuted with Salman were merely wallflowers and made no impact in the film. So last week, Sonakshi called Arbaaz last week and told him that she couldn't be a part of the film anymore.
Although no signing amount exchanged hands, Arbaaz still wanted her to be a part of the film. But even after several appeals, Arbaaz couldn't get Sonakshi to be a part of his film." Meanwhile other sources claim that the whole film has been put on hold for now due to the recession as Khan feels it's not the best time to start a film.
Arbaaz Khan and Sonakshi Sinha remained unavailable for the comment.
