The actress shot for four short films on the subject
Sonam Kapoor will shortly be seen talking about diabetes and how to control it. As a part of Max India Foundation's health initiative, Sonam has shot for four short films on diabetes.
The actress will also advise viewers to go for regular check-ups, as early detection allows a patient to have a better quality life.

Shot by Kunal Vohra, the films will be telecast across all channels in the coming week.u00a0 Sonam has also been tweeting, "Diabates is a silent killer and I empathise with people who have to live with this disease. Since I have insulin resistance myself, I decided to go out and talk about through a PSA and I hope by doing this I can reach out to many people and help spread awareness." The ad films were shot in celebrity photographer Dabboo Ratnani's studio.
Kunal, who has earlier made public awareness films with Gul Panag, Rahul Bose and model Shamita Singha, says, "I was pleasantly surprised when Sonam readily agreed to be a part of this awareness campaign. Even though she's busy shooting, she gave us time to shoot not one, but four short films. Three of the films talk about the symptoms of diabetes while the fourth has a voiceover with Sonam encouraging people to go in for regular check-ups."
The director reveals that Sonam was aware about diabetes and its symptoms, "She didn't have to be briefed at all. She was aware of the symptoms and the treatment as well. I will be sitting with her for edit and shortly releasing these films to be broadcast on various channels."
