'For the film we are looking for a new girl for the title role. She should be a complete newcomer and should not have acted in any film before. Other than this, she can be a model or a TV artist,' he told IANS.u00a0Other than this, the cast includes veteran actors Rishi Kapoor and Mithun Chakraborty.
'We are trying our best to find her. We plan to finalise by December so that we can start shooting in January,' he said.u00a0Talking about the character which the new girl has to play, he said: 'The character is very performance-oriented. Either she should be like that in reality or she must be able to act well,' he said.u00a0The director plans to shoot abroad and in India, including Jammu and Kashmir.u00a0'Kaanchi' is slated for a 2013 release.
