Sunny Deol gets clicking

Reveals passion for photography while shooting for 'Mohalla Assi' in Varanasi

Not many are aware that Sunny Deol is an avid photographer. When not facing the camera, the low-profiled actor gets behind a handheld one (a Leica M9, to be precise) clicking away at whatever catches his fancy.






While recently shooting in Varanasi for Chandraprakash Dwivedi's film Mohalla Assi, the actor could pursue his hobby relentlessly due to the city's unique sights, especially the banks of the river Ganga. Onlookers were taken aback to see Sunny take his own shots in between giving shots for the film.

Surprised fans
Says a unit source, "Whenever he had a break from the shoot or in between filming at various locations, he would whip out his camera and start clicking. Even though he would be in costume, the camera would be on his shoulder. Fans would take snapshots while he was busy taking pictures of what he found appealing."

The actor's spokesperson confirms, "Yes, Sunny loves to dabble in photography. He loves taking snapshots of friends, family and at outdoor locales of his shoot assignments. It is his personal domain, so he doesn't talk about it."
