Last week, when Sushmita Sen inaugurated artist Gautam Patole's charcoal painting exhibition, she revealed one of her secret talents to him. The actress told him she had been painting for the last three years in various mediums, including charcoal.

It was their first meeting. The actress had seen his work through his friends Yash Kohli and Lalee Dhawan and liked them. And so she accepted his invitation to come and inaugurate his exhibition.
Surprise giftAt the exhibition, the artist surprised Sush by gifting her a charcoal sketch of her daughter Renee. He says, "It was then that she told me that she had been painting for the last three years in various mediums, including charcoal. In fact, her knowledge is so good that she pointed out a fault in one of my paintings and told me how I could've removed it."u00a0
According to Patole, the actress has a special affinity for spiritual paintings, "She also loves nudes as the human body holds a special fascination for her. Andu00a0 being an artist herself, she understands and appreciates art and the feelings of an artist."
He goes on to say, "Sushmita knows her art. Though we hadn't met before the exhibition she knew all about my work. She supports artists and their work as she's an artist herself. After the exhibition, she sent an email promising to keep in touch."
The former Miss Universe almost didn't make it for the exhibition as her flight was delayed. Also she was running a fever and suffering jet lag, but she came to the exhibition straight from the airport and saw each work and spent quality time there.
