Young designer Sarah Sheikh, who graduated from the London College of Fashion, had a natural inclination towards menswear. While designing for her male friends, brothers and her father, Sarah found that her heart lies in male fashion and she decided to start a brand that provided completely customised clothing, keeping in mind the diversity of men in India. Her business partner Sandeep Gonsalves fuelled this passion and, SS Homme came into existence.
The new clothing brand, offers complete bespoke services, solely for menswear. Under the brand, both Sarah and Sandeep make sure that they deliver custom-made formal wear, to suit each customer's preference and personality with emphasis given on the cut, fabric and fine tailoring.
"SS Homme believes in keeping it simple and sophisticated. Impeccable tailoring speaks volumes of a man's wardrobe and that's what we strive to achieve. It's a personalised approach towards creating an up-to-date yet classy business and evening attire, giving the customers quality and finesse at an affordable price," says Sheikh.
Supporting Sarah in her thought, Gonsalves echoes, "We are not targetting any specific target audience, but the kind of people that come to us are men who know exactly what they like. In terms of our design aesthetics, we don't offer mundane regular suits. Our clothes speak for themselves, from tuxedos to bandhgalas and a lot more."
As far as their USP is concerned, Gonsalves makes it clear that they are willing to do anything for a client's satisfaction. "Customisation is our USP. We will do anything for our clients. If the client wants a suit with a specific button detailing or a material of his choice, we are willing to customise as per his preferences," he stresses.
However, you can't avail the services at a whim. You will need to make an appointment to visit the store; Gonsalves has a reason behind that: "We want to give personal attention to all our clients so that we can understand their needs. We want to be present whenever they come in. So, it's always better that we are in the know."
