Salim Khan thinks that Salman and Shah Rukh Khan will never be anything more than rivals

Just when people are reading too much in between the lines after Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan hugged each other during an iftar party few months ago, the co-writer of Sholay made it clear that too much is expected of the two leading stars.

Furthermore, Salim Khan is someone who doesn't mince words. And the veteran scriptwriter made it evident during the trailer launch of Sholay 3D. "There can be no love between rivals. There can only be courtesy. Raj Kapoor and Dilip Kumar also had a lot of courtesy and they met very warmly but if we say that love is involved, it's not possible."

Shedding some more light on the topic, he further added, "It (bonhomie) can only be possible in between saints and not in rivals. If Shah Rukh's movie works and Salman starts dancing, it is not possible.

Or if Salman's movie is a hit and Shah Rukh throws a party genuinely, that's not possible either. Whenever you meet, you should be courteous. That kind of courtesy was maintained by Dilipsaab, Devsaab. These days there is intolerance and impatience. The most important thing is that there should be courtesy between rivals." u00a0
