His levels of committment have to be applauded. Footballer Baichung Bhutia attended an event in Mumbai on Wednesday (he'd made a prior committment), even though his family and friends are going through a hard time because of the quake in Sikkim.
Baichung tells CS, "I had to travel eight hours on foot and by bus to reach my pregnant wife. I was worried for my wife and 17-month-old twins who were in Gangtok, which was badly affected. Fortunately everyone in my village is safe."
He adds, "Things are slowly getting back to normal. But the landslides and the quake have badly affected the water supply.
I also want appeal to people to not spread rumorus about another earthquake striking soon." We plead the same!
