And yes, he does take out time for binging too! CS caught up with the actor for a candid chat on his daily exercise regime:
Filmi routine
I have just wrapped up the shoot for Sanjay's upcoming film. I used to be on the sets at 9 am sharp everyday. After the shoot, I would go to the gym, come back home and watch films or go out and meet friends.
Healthy eating
I am on a high protein diet. I take 5-6 meals a day, which include oats and protein for breakfast followed by egg whites, veggies without chapatti or rice and chicken or fish for lunch. Dinner is usually the same as lunch. I have a sandwich before the workout and then a protein shake after the workout. I have a sandwich an hour before lunch as well.
Cheat day
I usually binge on my favourite desserts and pizzas once in every ten days. I love cheese, sandwiches and pizzas. I also like Indian desserts like homemade halwa and pedas. When I go out, then I don't mind eating a chocolate pastry or a chocolate fudge.
Sab filmi hai
My idea of de-stressing is to go to the gym and workout. Post that, I like catching up on films with friends. I am a complete film buff. I recently saw English Vinglish and loved it. If I am not shooting, then I like to spend the day with my friends, go out for lunch and talk about films. I like to talk about the box office collections and new releases. I know people find it a little boring but I love it!
Holiday romance
I went to Dubai on my last vacation. It was after a long time that I went on a holiday with a few of my friends and we had a lot of fun! For me, a vacation is when I can do things that I normally wouldn't be able to do at home, like binge on desserts, sleep and wake up at my own sweet time. The environment is different and so is the mood. If I am lucky enough, then I also like a bit of romance on vacations if that is on the cards. This time I wasn't really lucky! (laughs)
