Not many know that actor Vishal Malhotra is passionate about flying and aims to have his own little aircraft someday. He's been learning flying on and off as a hobby in Toronto since childhood. "Though I don't have a flying licence yet, I have been mentally preparing myself to fly since I was three years old. I have always read books related to flying," he says excitedly. Vishal talks to CS:
Passionate play
My craze for toys in the air started at the young age of three. I was so obssessed by it that merely by hearing the sound I could make out which aircraft was in the air. Ever since I can remember, I always wanted to fly. Heights have always excited me!
Meditation space
When I fly, I go in a state of meditation. I leave all my worries and stress down on the ground. Flying gives me peace and satisfaction. It takes me into a deeper state of relaxation and awareness.
Trivial tales
When I fly high, my problems seem to be insignificant. At 32,000 feet away from the real world, my problems are just invisible. I feel like a free bird with no worries and commitments to bother me.
View calling
The view that I get when I am in the sky is just priceless. It is almost impossible to describe the panaroma that you get to enjoy from 32,000 feet above ground level. Everything seems so unreal. It seems like a painting.
Pursuing happiness
I'm glad that I've been able to pursue my dream. I thank God daily for giving me the ability to discover and pursue my passion right from a young age. I know a lot of people who spend their entire life searching in search of a passionate anchor.
My strong wish is to make enough money from one of my passions ufffd acting ufffd and fulfill my other passion ufffd flying ufffd by buying myself a small little aircraft someday!
