The director doesn't want the news to be out till the recording is complete. Apparently, some of the English words used are quite controversial and have been used to whip up national fervour in a big way."
A source reveals, "Prakash is anxious about the public reaction to the English words being used in the patriotic song. Which will be used in certain dramatic scenes, especially during the films' climax." The film is said to be a modern-day Mahabharata."
Jha says, "Everything is in the formative stage. It would be too early to talk about anything. We haven't decided how the new version will be or what words will be incorporated. However, I will sort it out in a week's time."
Raajneeti stars Nana Patekar, Ajay Devgn, Katrina Kaif, Ranbir Kapoor and Arjun Rampal.
SOME SONGS THAT CREATED CONTROVERSY |
Love Sex Aur Dhoka (2010): The film had a song, 'Tu nangi achchi lagti hai', which has been changed to 'Tu gandi achchi lagti hai'. The film will release on March 19 in cinema halls across the country.
Rann (2009): Here, the national anthem 'Jana gana mana' was twisted to 'Jana gana mana rann hai'. Sensing trouble, Ram Gopal Varma later replaced the song with the 'Vande Mataram'.
Dil Se (1998): The super-hit song 'Chaiyya chaiyya' faced opposition from a religious group who had objection in the phrase 'Paanv ke neeche jannat hogi'.
Raja Babu (1994): The film had 'Sarkaye leyo khatia', which was quite vulgar.
Khuddar (1994): It featured a song 'Sexy sexy sexy mujhe log bolen'. It was later changed to 'Baby baby babyu2026' to placate those who were scandalised.
Khalnayak (1993): The film courted controversy because of the chartbuster 'Choli ke peeche kya hai'. The lyrics were too racy for the moral police to handle. |
