Though cricket and movies are India's greatest loves, apparently movies made on them aren't that interesting. Both of last week'su00a0releases Victory and Luck By Chance have bombed at the box office.
After the disaster that was 2050, Hurman Baweja really wanted his second film Victory to scorch the box office. Butu00a0the film has failed miserably.
Every aspect of the movie has been blasted with critics calling it dated, boring and unrealistic.u00a0The opening collections of the movie wereu00a0just 10-20 per cent!u00a0But even the weekendu00a0didn't see anyu00a0rise either. This one is definitely a dead duck.
Luck By Chance, however, saw a few decent reviews; but even that hasn't been able to save the film. Movie-goers have termed it really slow and too superficial. While the actors have been appreciated, the movie itself has not.u00a0
Saturday itself the film saw a major fallu00a0in collections; at some places it wasu00a0as low as 10-15 per cent. While the collections improvedu00a0marginally on Sundayu00a0- between 20-30 per cent -u00a0Monday onwards the collections have slumped again.
All in all,u00a0trade pundits are declaring both of these starry moviesu00a0complete wash outs. Guess it goes to show, Indian moviegoers are finally learning to ask for more!
