The makers of the Silk Smitha bio-pic are leaving no stones unturned to ensure that the original character's work is represented down to the T.

Scenes from Silk Smitha's films are being replicated, and songs, including her most provocative one, form part of the film that explores the South Indian star's life.

Vidya Balan, who plays Silk Smitha opposite Tusshar Kapoor, recently shot a scene that replicated the hot Silk Smitha-Kamal Hasan number, O babua yeh mahua, sung by Asha Bhosle for the 1983 film, Sadma.

The number, thought by many as the boldest-ever performance by Silk Smitha, had the siren slithering all over the reluctant hero. Balan did the same recently.

Says a source, "Milan Luthria did away with the song and kept Vidya's provocative arousal sounds on the soundtrack to make it more effective. He may decide to add a song to the sequence later."

Sources say, the original Sadma track composed by Ilayaraja, may well make it to the bio-pic too. Kapoor meanwhile was discomfited not by Balan, but his wig. "We shot the seduction scene last week. Vidya had to win my character over using nothing but seduction. It was definitely my boldest sequence to date."

What disturbed Kapoor though, was shooting the sequence in Ramoji Rao Studio in Hyderabad, wearing a wig and moustache. "I've seen Dad (Jeetendra) do exactly the same thing, in the same location, with Silk Smitha. It was uncanny," he laughed.
