Vidya Balan was one of the panelists at the 14th Wharton India Economic Forum, organised by the Wharton School in Pennsylvania. The theme of discussion was the Globalisation of Mainstream and the lovely actress spoke about how Indian Cinema was reaching far corners of the world. She delved into cinema moving beyond parallel and cross-over films, and how mainstream Indian films are attracting an appreciative international audience. She also mentioned how Hollywood production houses such as Warner Bros and now Disney have recognised the fact that people in over 90 countries watch Indian movies and have now started producing Indian films.
Vidya was one of the panelists who were involved in discussing Indian film industry. Giving her company were Anil Kapoor, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Shankar Mahadevan, and Namit Malhotra.
