Producer-director Vipul Shah, who has been travelling to various cities to promote his new TV show, went through a harrowing experience Thursday morning.

Apparently, Shah and his crew boarded a Lucknow-bound flight in Delhi and were made to wait for the aircraft to take off as the flight crew did not turn up on time. A source travelling in the same flight informs us that the flight was scheduled to take off at 7am but didn't for close to two hours, adding, "No one from the airlines was there to take care of the passengers or explain the delay. When we protested, the captain announced that the cabin crew had not been informed about the flight schedule leading to the delay. Isn't that a ridiculous excuse?"
A member of Shah's team confirms the news. "We were supposed to promote our show in Lucknow yesterday and the entire crew had reached the airport on time. The reason for the delay in take-off was absurd. This is not the first time that Air India has done something like this," adds the unit hand.
Shah, too, criticised the airlines for the "unacceptable delay". "It is shocking and sad. Can you imagine the national carrier not informing its cabin crew about the flight schedule and passengers having to bear the brunt of it? While the captain coolly announced the reason for the delay, he didn't bother to apologise. I want to request the Prime Minister to take Air India to task," adds the filmmaker.
