Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff, and Vaani Kapoor's film, War, broke several records by opening at Rs 53 crore at the box office. However, the film took a slow start compared to its first day and earned approximately Rs 22-23 crore nett on its second day. As per Box Office India report, War saw a drop in the range of 55-60 per cent.
If the tally of two days of War's collection is done, Hrithik and Tiger's film stands at approximately Rs 74 crore at the box office.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh made a comparison of the first day opening of the releases of 2019. In that list, Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff's action-entertainer War is at the top with Rs 53.35 crore, followed by Salman Khan's Bharat at Rs 42.30 crore, Akshay Kumar's Mission Mangal at Rs 29.16 crore, Prabhas' Saaho at Rs 24.40 crore and Karan Johar's multistarrer Kalank by opening at Rs 21.60 crore.

Coming back to War, the film minted Rs 51.60 crore in Hindi and Rs 1.75 crore from Tamil and Telugu on its first day. As per the bifurcations given by Yash Raj Films, here are the eight new records created by War with its incredible opening day:

The lead actors of the film, Hrithik and Tiger opened up about the monumental feat delivered by them with this YRF action spectacle.
Speaking about it, Hrithik Roshan had said, "It is an incredible response to our hard work and I'm truly grateful to the audiences for loving our film. When we decided to make War, we were clear that we were attempting to do something that has never been done in Indian cinema and we went all out to make it happen. Produced by YRF, War released in 4,000 screens. The film is receiving unanimous love and appreciation from critics and audiences alike for delivering a never seen before action spectacle and a superb story with twists and turns that keeps audiences at the edge of their seats till the end.
