Zarine gets catty

Zarine Khan is also a Good Samaritan. A couple of years ago, the actor rescued Pixie, a cat that had been the victim of a hit-and-run case and brought it home. And since then, her family has only expanded.

Zarine who had three cats till sometime back, is now the proud owner of another five, with one of them having recently had a litter. She talks to CS about her love for cats:

Tiger trail
I love animals, though I'm quite scared of dogs. I've always dreamt of owning a tiger, but since that's not possible, keeping cats is as close as I can get to realising that dream. I think that cats are very endearing animalsu00a0-- they are funny and clean.

Cat's out of the bag
I didn't always love cats. About 13 years ago we owned a cat, but after it died, we didn't get another pet home. Then when I saw Pixie lying wounded on the road, I had to pick it up.

And it's so adorable. When she was pregnant, she would sleep on my mom's stomach. But she's also quite a brat. She likes to do her own thing and has also become quite lazy with age.
