Parineeti Chopra, Dibakar Banerjee and Arjun Kapoor
On Thursday, Dibakar Banerjee's 'Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar' dropped on Amazon Prime Video after releasing in theatres in March. After 'Saina' and 'The Girl on the Train', Parineeti Chopra completes a hat-trick of digital releases. Well, for Arjun Kapoor it comes close on the heels of 'Sardar Ka Grandson'.
The release of 'Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar', which rolled in 2017, was delayed. The buzz was that producer Yash Raj Films was unhappy with the way it had turned out.
Produced, written, and directed by Dibakar Banerjee, the movie also stars Neena Gupta, Raghuvir Yadav, and Jaideep Ahlawat in pivotal roles. 'Sandeep aur Pinky Faraar' follows the story of two completely different individuals whose lives suddenly intertwine. Pinkesh Dahiya or 'Pinky' (essayed by Arjun Kapoor), is a Haryanvi Police Officer, while Sandeep Kaur (essayed by Parineeti Chopra) is an ambitious girl from the corporate world.
Ironically this pair of chalk and cheese are united by their mistrust, suspicion and hatred for one another. This suspense-drama promises to keep the viewers glued to their seats as it explores the polarities of the two worlds.

When Anushka Sharma was given a reality check by this filmmaker
Dibakar in an earlier interview talked about how he made Arjun and Parineeti, who are good friends off-screen, hate each other on-screen. The filmmaker revealed, "No one looks pretty when your life is being choked out of you. No one looks their best when being slapped in the backseat of a car in the middle of nowhere in the dead of the night as a huge threatening stranger asks you questions you don't know the answers to. There are many in India who know how this feels. But not Parineeti and Arjun. I had to figure a way of making them angry, bewildered and scared and alien to each other which is why I had to bar them from meeting each other socially till they met for the first time on the sets in character."
