'A south superstar, loved actress, debut actor': Karan Johar turns guessing game of next film, promises to invite winner to watch movie glimpse

On Sunday afternoon, filmmaker Karan Johar took to his Instagram handle to post a guessing game for his upcoming film. Without giving out names of the cast, he gave important clues about the actors and revealed that the film is made by a debut director. The filmmaker said it is not a film announcement but the person guessing everything right would be invited to watch the glimpse of the film to the Dharma office.

Karan Johar wrote, "This is not a film announcement! But it can be...with your help! We have been shooting this intriguing film for the past year, kept it under wraps because not revealing key aspects of the film even to the crew was a decision the debut director took".

Sharing the hints, the filmmaker further wrote, "So here are the broad hints -

A) A superstar from the south who has just delivered a pan India juggernaut!

B) A massively loved actress who continues to awe us with her emotional energy on celluloid

C) A legacy debut actor who is working tirelessly to find his spot in the sunshine of exceptional talent & combatting the obsession with the N word! But keeping his head down and just working!

The film is ready and we will be releasing it soon! Any guesses? If you guess the title & all other details correctly we would love to Invite you to watch a glimpse of the film".

Decoding the puzzle:

While the comment section has been flooded with all kinds of answers, here goes our best guess.

Coming to the first clue, it hints toward actor Prithviraj Sukumaran who recently featured in the film 'Salaar: Part 1'. Billed as a pan-India film, it also starred Prabhas and was directed by Prashanth Neel. The film did well at the box office.

As for the second clue, it is likely to be Kajol who is not only a loved actress but also known for portraying a range of emotions onscreen effortlessly.

The finaly clue of the legacy debut actor hints at Ibrahim Ali Khan. He is the son of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh. He takes forward the Pataudi legacy as his grandmother and father are also actors. His sister Sara Ali Khan is also an actress in the Hindi film industry. Earlier, in an interview with Film Companion, Sara had confirmed that he brother has wrapped the shooting of the film.

As for the title, multiple reports have claimed that the film has been titled 'Sarzameen'.
