Rohit Shetty has managed to pull off a casting coup. With Singham Again, he brings together a stellar cast including Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff along with Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh. Today, he reintroduced Ranveer as Simmba who will be playing a pivotal role in the mission led by Bajirao Singham (Ajay).
Rohit shared a poster of Ranveer as Simmba. An idol of Hanuman forms the background. A deep shade of red sets the tone right. The caption on Instagram read, "Hum sabka favourite!!! The notorious SIMMBA is back!" Deepika reunites with Ranveer after 83.

Sharing his look poster, Ranveer wrote, "SABSE NATKHAT, SABSE NIRALA!!! ALA RE ALA, SIMMBA ALA!!!"
Ajay returns as Singham whereas Akshay wears the cop uniform again as Sooryavanshi. Kareena and Deepika play the female lead. The latter's character name is Shakti Shetty and she's the first female cop in the universe. Tiger is Special Task Force officer ACP Satya.
Singham Again went on floors on September 16 with Ajay and Ranveer. Sharing pictures from the muhurat puja, Rohit wrote, "Singham, Singham returns, Simmba, Sooryavanshi...12 Years ago, when we made Singham, we never thought that it would turn into a Cop Universe! Today, we begin filming Singham Again... the 5th film in our cop franchisee. ISME HUM APNI JAAN LAGA DENGE! BAS AAPKE PYAAR AUR DUA KI ZAROORAT HAI! (We'll give it our best, please shower love and blessings on us)."
Arjun Kapoor is the antagonist. While the makers of Singham Again are yet to confirm, the actor's father, Boney Kapoor, said in an interview, "There are multiple things lined up (for Arjun) and he is happy about those subjects. He is on the threshold of a new kind of characterization. A film of Rohit Shetty was launched where he's the solo villain opposite Ajay Devgn. Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar are also in the film. It is Singham Again (Singham 3). Arjun is playing an antagonist for the first time. Let's see where the film takes him."
Singham Again is scheduled to release in theatres on Independence Day 2024.
