Great Grand Masti and Total Dhamaal

Over five years since Total Dhamaal (2019), Ajay Devgn and Anil Kapoor are said to team up again. Even though Anil couldn't accommodate Ajay's De De Pyaar De 2 in his date diary, it appears that he will collaborate with the superstar nonetheless. Reportedly, the two actors are set to reunite for the fourth instalment of filmmaker Indra Kumar's Dhamaal franchise. Tentatively titled Dhamaal 4, the comic caper will also see the cast of the last edition return for another adventurous treasure hunt. Madhuri Dixit-Nene, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi and Jaaved Jaaferi will join Ajay and Anil on this fun-filled ride that is slated to start by this year-end. Interestingly, the fourth outing of Kumar and his producer-partner Ashok Thakeria's Masti franchise is also expected to go on floors around the same time. To be helmed by Milap Zaveri, the comedy will see Riteish, Vivek Oberoi and Aftab Shivdasani reunite after eight years since Great Grand Masti. Casting for supporting actors is underway.

Waiting to be informed!

Even as rumours are rife about Sonakshi Sinha tying the knot with beau Zaheer Iqbal, it appears that her father Shatrughan Sinha is not aware of it. The veteran actor-politician, who won the Lok Sabha elections from Asansol, West Bengal, on a Trinamool Congress ticket, is said to be in Delhi, where he headed after the poll results. He reportedly said he hasn't spoken to anyone about his daughter's plans. "She hasn't told me anything about it. If and when she takes me into confidence, my wife and I will give the couple my blessings," he said. Shotgun also shared that he has been inundated with calls by people asking why he is not aware of the wedding while the media knows the schedule. "All I can say is, aaj kal ke bachche consent nahin lete maa-baap ke, sirf inform karte hain. We are waiting to be informed," he has been quoted as saying.

Gearing up for Stree

Even as Munjya opened in cinemas, producer Dinesh Vijan got the teasers of his next horror comedy certified. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) cleared two teasers of Stree 2, which stars Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, with a U/A rating. While one teaser is one-minute-and-23-second long, the other has a runtime of 66 seconds. However, the teasers will be showcased during the screening of the producer's latest release, Munjya. Also featuring Pankaj Tripathi and Abhishek Banerjee, the film is slated to release on August 30.

Hello neighbours

Last week, Varun Dhawan and Natasha Dalal welcomed their first child, a baby girl. Now, the couple are said to move into Hrithik Roshan's rented apartment in Juhu. Before you wonder, Duggu is moving into another property in the posh suburban locality. When Varun and Natasha move into Hrithik's sea-facing apartment, they will become Akshay Kumar and Sajid Nadiadwala's new neighbours. While Akki and Twinkle have been staying on the ground floor for years, with their office on the second floor, Sajid stays with his family on the higher floors. Varun and Natasha's new pad is between the other two celebrity homes. The actor is gearing up for the release of his next, Atlee's Baby John, co-starring Keerthy Suresh and Wamiqa Gabbi.

Back to work

Kriti Kharbanda, who tied the knot with Pulkit Samrat this March, is in the midst of her next project. The yet-untitled venture sees her reunite with her Housefull 4 (2019) co-actor Rana Daggubati. While details of the project are being kept under wraps, we hear that half of the principal shoot is complete. Interestingly, Kriti sports a short-haired avatar in the movie - a look that she was spotted in recently. The next schedule is expected to begin soon.

In recovery mode

Mahesh Bhatt is in recovery mode after undergoing cataract treatment recently. After his first surgery, actor-wife Soni Razdan shared the update on social media. "When state-of-the-art technology is used by a healer like Dr Himanshu Mehta to remove a cataract, you get a fresh taste of life," she wrote alongside a picture of them together. Over the weekend, Bhatt underwent his second cataract operation. He will be taking it easy over the next few weeks.
