On February 26, Ali Fazal posted an old picture on his Instagram. It captured the moment when he first met Robert De Niro, the American actor and producer. In the photo, Ali, the actor from Fukrey, looked really happy as he experienced his fanboy moment, getting an autograph from De Niro. Along with the picture, Ali shared that he's usually too shy to ask for autographs or take photos with people he admires. Interestingly, it was Dia Mirza who convinced him to go for the meeting.
He wrote in the caption, " #Throwback to the 1st time i met him . God , i remember how you @diamirzaofficial took me there.. cant thank you enough. I was too shy to ever step into a room to take autographs and photos with people i admire. I still am socially very awkward when i have to play myself . Lol. But to Greatness and its infection."

After Abhimanyu Singh, actor Ali Fazal has joined the cast of Sunny Deol-starrer 'Lahore 1947.' As per a statement, Ali Fazal has come on board to play an important role in the film, which is being directed by Rajkumar Santoshi.
Last week, it was revealed that the actor Abhimanyu Singh who has worked in 'Sooryavanshi,' 'Dhol,' 'Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela,' 'Kisi Ki Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan' has joined to play the antagonist opposite Sunny Deol in the film.
This project marks the teaming up of Sunny Deol, Rajkumar Santoshi along with Aamir Khan. Interestingly, this film will also mark Aamir Khan Productions' (AKP) 17th production under their banner. The film also stars Preity Zinta and Shabana Azmi.
'Lahore 1947' marks the reunion of Preity and Sunny after a long time. The duo has earlier featured together in a couple of films such as 'The Hero: Love Story of a Spy,' 'Farz,' and 'Bhaiaji Superhit.' Meanwhile, Ali is set to come up with 'Girls will be Girls', a film made under their production banner.
Directed by Shuchi Talati, the film is a compelling story set in a boarding school in a small Himalayan hill town in northern India. It follows the journey of Mira, a 16-year-old girl whose rebellious awakening is intertwined with her mother's unfulfilled coming-of-age experiences.
