Former India captain and the country's greatest-ever left-arm spinner, Bishan Singh Bedi, passed away after a prolonged illness. He was 77 years old. The unfortunate passing of Bishan Singh Bedi left the family grieving. The daughter-in-law, Neha Dhupia, honored the late cricketer by wearing a black band. According to reports, his son, Angad Bedi, competed in a 400-meter race in Dubai in Bishan Singh Bedi's honor.

According to The Times of India, Angad Bedi had some news to share. He spilled the beans about his upcoming international debut as a sprinter at an athletics championship set to take place in Dubai. During the interview, he opened up about the valuable advice his father had given him over the years: to stay focused and let his actions do the talking. Angad expressed how deeply he was influenced by his father's wisdom and mentioned that he's taking on this race because it aligns with what his father would have wished for him.

Angad Bedi was quoted saying, "It's my way of honoring him and his legacy. Sportsmanship is in my blood, and I want to do exactly what my father would have expected of me. I want to participate in this race to honor him and the values that he has instilled in me during his wonderful life. He will always be there with me as my guiding light."

As per the report, on October 29, Angad Bedi is going to make his international debut as a sprinter in a 400-meter race at an athletic championship in Dubai. Angad took to Instagram to share the moments into preparing:

Apart from this, he also said that his father always wanted him to run because he was not as athletic as a child but rather a 'podgy' kid. That is why his father wanted him to coach him in cricket.

He was also quoted saying, "Der aaye durust aaye (It's never too late). I want to do it for myself, yes, but if you really ask me, I want to do it for him. I thought to myself, if Farhan Akhtar could get into the body and mind of an athlete in his late 30s, I can give it a go, too."
