The actor believes that the human drama tells an important story in a country where the wheels of justice are infamously slow. "We have often heard how rape survivors do not get justice, and are unfortunately blamed by society. I'm hoping this film will be helpful in [changing] people's mindset," he says.
Adhyayan Suman
Gurleen Chopra essays the role of the survivor, whose son takes it upon himself to bring the long-drawn-out case to its rightful end. "My character Manmohan, [who is initially unaware of his wife's past], sees her being bitter over the years.

But when he learns of the reality, he stands by her and tries to understand the unfathomable agony and distress she had to go through," says Khan, adding that the movie tackles victim-shaming. "The challenging part for my character is to be a pillar of support to his wife and accept her son while dealing with society's [misplaced] judgment." Shweta Tiwari, Adhyayan Suman and Mugdha Godse play pivotal roles in the movie.
