Aruna Irani
Actor Aruna Irani burst into tears as she recalled memories of doyen of music, Lata Mangeshkar, while speaking to mid-day.com
Aruna Irani said, "Lataji was a legend, who cannot be defined in words. It's extremely saddening for fans like me to know that she was in pain and suffered towards the end. She gave me one of my biggest songs âDilbar Dil Se Pyare' (Carvan) and put so much emotions in the song, so much so that people still speak to me about it. It's commendable that she sang for so many actors across generations. Although, I wasn't present at any of her recordings, I used to meet her at film functions, where I would bow at her feet and seek aashirwad. She always blessed me with all her heart ('dil se dua deti thi') and I will always remember her as a great woman."
