Rao also shared a 'masti bhari' (filled with fun) story about how her Main Hoon Na (another 2004 film starring Rao) co-star Shah Rukh Khan came to her rescue in a tricky situation for the film's shoot. Amrita was once caught in a fix between shooting for Main Hoon Na and Masti, two films that saw her in totally different avatars and both of which were significant in her career.
Recalling the incident, Amrita shared, "I was shooting for Masti and Main Hoon Na in the same year and I remember there was a week when I had to do a double shift. I shot day and night for 72 hours without a break, hopping from one set to another. I also recall that one of the days there was a massive date overlap and both my directors Indra Kumar-ji and Farah Khan required me to be on their set at the same time. That day was such a tough call for me. That's when Mr Shah Rukh Khan kindly called and requested Indu-ji to adjust the shoot date for me. And Indu-ji was sweet enough to give us that allowance."
For Amrita, it was SRK's way of telling her in his own way, 'main hoon na'! And it's certainly something that makes her smile back at!
