Chunky Pandey and Ananya Panday
B-Town has been buzzing with reports of a new couple in town- Ananya Panday and Aditya Roy Kapur. The two have been rumoured to date ever since reports of them getting cosy at Karan Johar's 50th birthday bash last year surfaced. The same was brought up by Karan Johar on his show 'Koffee With Karan' last year. More recently, in July, Ananya and Aditya Roy Kapur were spotted enjoying their vacation in Portugal together.
Now, Ananya Panday's father Chunky Pandey has reacted to the rumours. Indirectly shutting down the rumours, he told Bollywood Bubble, "Nahi nahi⦠wo toh hone wala hai. (no no, this is bound to happen.) They say na you live by the soul you die by the soul. We are in the glamour profession ye sab hone wala hai (and all this will happen). Collateral damage hone wala hai. You can't prevent it."
Chunky Pandey was later asked with whom his daughter looks good onscreen, he said, "I think right from Tiger Shroff starting off, even with Karthik Aaryan in Pati Patni Aur Woh. They were superb so she has always complimented the heroes and it's been a great journey for her. She's lucky."
In the same interview, the actor was asked if he had ever rejected any of Ananya or his younger daughter Rysa Panday's boyfriends. He replied, "I do not need to, they only reject. Maine unko bola jo bhi hoga (I told them), he has to be better than me."
In July, pictures and videos of Ananya and Aditya Roy Kapur from Portugal had gone viral. Ananya had accompanied Aditya in Lisbon, and images of them sightseeing and stepping out on a date to a restaurant were shared on paparazzi pages and fan pages. A video of them riding a scooter on the streets of Lisbon had also gone viral.
Aditya had recently opened up about his trip in an interview with Hindustan Times. When the actor was told that he made headlines for his holiday photos with Ananya, Aditya had said, "It's a good thing I am not so much on social media but definitely, I have heard."
