Did Samantha Ruth Prabhu remove 'Chay' tattoo dedicated to Naga Chaitanya?

Samantha Ruth Prabhu made many jaws drop with her recent photoshoot in Dubai. The actress was dressed in a deep pink saree with a sleeveless blouse and an attached cape. She shared pictures on Instagram.

In one of the picture series, netizens noticed the disappearance of the 'Chay' tattoo on her ribs. She had dedicated a tattoo to Naga Chaitanya when they were married. People assumed that she had removed it. One person commented, "She removed chai name tattoo." Another netizen asked, "Where is the Tattoo???
Pic is astonishing."

During an AMA session on Instagram last year, Samantha hinted at regretting getting a Chay tattoo made. She said during the AMA, "My advice to my younger self would be not to get a tattoo. Ever!! Never ever get tattooed."

Samantha is known for multiple tattoos. Her first one is YMC (Ye Maaya Chesave) which was her maiden film with Naga Chaitanya. The Chay tattoo was inked on the right rib. Her third tattoo also has a Naga Chaitanya connection. The former couple got identical arrow tattoos on their forearms. Despite their separation, Samantha had not removed the tattoo. However, it isn't clear whether she got it permanently removed or concealed with makeup. At the London premiere of Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden's Citadel, one could see her tattoo. In 2019, Samantha was seen flaunting the tattoo on Instagram.

Samantha and Chaitanya tied the knot on October 6, 2017. After 5 years of marriage, they chose to part ways. In an interview, Chaitanya confirmed that he and Samantha are officially divorced. "It is only when the media speculates that things get awkward between us. In the public eye, that mutual respect is taken away. That's what I feel bad about. And you do what is worse? They bring in a third party, someone who is not connected to my past to create headlines out of that. It's very disrespectful to the third party whom they are unnecessarily involving with my past," he said.

In a now-deleted statement, Samantha said, "To all our well wishers. After much deliberation and thought Chay and I have decided to part ways as husband and wife to pursue our own paths . We are fortunate to have a friendship of over a decade that was the very core of our relationship which we believe will always hold a special bond between us. We request our fans , well wishers and the media to support us during this difficult time and give us the privacy we need to move on."
