Veteran actor Mac Mohan, who is immortalised in Bollywood history as Sambha of Sholay, recently passed away at the age of 71. He will always be remembered as a quintessential villain's sidekick with his sharp gaze and quick smile. CS gives you some trivia on him:
Though we know him as Mac Mohan, his real name was Mohan Makhijani.
He was the maternal uncle of Raveena Tandon.u00a0
Mac Mohan, who started his career with the film Haqeeqat in 1964, acted in over 200 films in a career spanning 46 years.
In his Bollywood career, he mostly played negative roles. Some of his noted films are Zanjeer, Majboor, Shaan, Karz, Don, Satte Pe Satta and Rafoo Chakkar.u00a0u00a0
Recently, he was seen in movies like Luck By Chance, Journey Bombay to Goa: Laughter Unlimited, Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge.u00a0
He was quite spiffy in his dressing, as we have seen in films like Don, where he was Big B's aide as well as in the cream coloured three piece suits in Shaan.u00a0u00a0
He was battling with cancer for a long time. Mac Mohan is survived by his wife Mini and three children.
