'Bhor' which has been streaming on MX Player has been received well by the audience. In an interview with us the talented director spills the beans on the film.

On being asked how the film attempts to touch on various issues through one story and how he managed to weave the narrative. The filmmaker shares, "I wanted to set the story in rural India and then we thought of how to go about it, that's how we narrowed down on 'Musahars'. I feel 'Musahars' is one of the most unprivileged community in country. So when we were making a story of a girl in that community so other aspects of political aspirations, caste system, living in society all those came in itself.

He further shared, "We wanted to tell a story of girl and sanitation because it comes to how women is empowered and everything. So when weaving the story every flavour came in naturally so that is why we did not do anything artificially it was weaved naturally and all those flavours and all those messages came naturally".

When we asked about the international acclaim at various festivals before release on OTT and now does he feel any pressure, the director said, "We wanted to take it to festivals and as a first time filmmaker I needed it, we made it the way we wanted to, so people should tell us if it's fine or it is good. When I took it to the festivals and people started telling it's nice and I started getting standing ovation then I realised people have acknowledged our work".

He further added, "So basically I was nervous when we made the film, when it went to the festivals I understood that we have made a good film and that's why it's not made me nervous it has given me the confidence to come onto it and show it to people because the cinema lover audience has loved it. We have seen people laughing, we have seen people clapping on the humour and it's a lighthearted film. At the same time it is giving the messages so I am confident about it more than nervous.

The film has an ensemble cast of Nalneesh Neel, Devesh Rajan, Saveri Sree Gaur & Punya Prasun Bajpai. 'Bhor' is produced by AK Singh of Gyanesh Films and is helmed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh.
