Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan
Mahira Khan surprised her fans by announcing her marriage to Salim Karim on October 1. Now, she has been sharing pictures and videos from the pre-wedding ceremonies on Instagram. On Friday, she shared a video from one of the pre-wedding functions, and guess who fans were excited to spot? It was none other than actor Fawad Khan.
The video shared by Mahira featured glimpses from a pre-wedding musical night set up in an amphi theatre with stadium-styled seating. Mahira and now-husband Salim grooved as legendary Pakistani singer Abida Parveen performed on stage. However, what caught people's attention was the presence of Fawad Khan among the guests looking as handsome as ever.
In the video, Mahira wore an embellished lehenga as she enjoyed Abida Parveen's performance with Salim Karim, and their family and friends. But it was Fawad Khan, who stole the show with his presence.
Fawad Khan was seen in a white kurta set with brown shawl and sat among other guests as Abida Parveen sang Tu Jhoom. Fawad was seen a second time in the clip with other guests as they watched Abida's performance.
Sharing the clip, Mahira wrote, "Anyone who knows me⦠knows... Abida Parveen.. all my love, all my respect. Alhumdulillah. Shukr. Sabr. Shuk"
Fawan Khan and Mahira Khan were recently seen together in the film 'The Legend of Maula Jayt' which proved to be the highest-grossing Pakistani film of all time. They will next be seen together in Netflix's first Pakistan-themed original Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo.
Earlier while sharing pictures from her wedding day, an emotional Mahira shared an anecdote. "My mother had one wish⦠to start the wedding with a dua. My beautiful Ama, who is in a wheelchair - one would think she can't do much - but really, she can do everything and anything. She sat and managed the decoration downstairs, the table, the moving around of furniture and she was ready dot on time..Alhumdulillah for our parents. Later on that day, my childhood girlfriends had a mayun for me. Alhumdulillah for friends I can call my sisters. P.S I took a bud of the motia and put it in my baali before going down.. for my Nani and Dadi," she wrote.
