As producers have begun announcing the release dates of their films, we now know what Bollywood's 2021 calendar will look like. Kabir Khan's 83, featuring Ranveer Singh will hit the screens on June 4. Nagraj Manjule's Jhund, with Amitabh Bachchan, releases on June 18. Another film all set for a release is Akshay Kumar and Vaani Kapoor's Bellbottom. This period drama also stars Huma Qureshi and Lara Dutta. It narrates the tale of one of India's unsung heroes, obviously played by Kumar. His patriotic narratives began from Airlift and continued till Mission Mangal. This film promises to be a worthy addition to the repertoire.
Originally announced for a release on April 2 this year, it now opens in the cinemas on May 28. Talking of Bunty Aur Babli 2, 16 years later, Rani Mukerji returns as the con-woman sans Abhishek Bachchan. This time, she gets the company of her Hum Tum co-star Saif Ali Khan. They get the company of Siddhart Chaturvedi and Sharvari Wagh. This film comes out on April 23.
Yash Raj Films announced that the Akshay Kumar-starrer Prithviraj will be a Diwali release. It will hit screens on November 5. Last month, the makers of Jersey, featuring Shahid Kapoor, had fixed the same festive date. Akki and Sasha battling at the box-office look interesting. YRF also announced the release date of its long-pending Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar (March 19), besides Bunty Aur Babli 2 (April 23), Shamshera (June 25), and Jayeshbhai Jordaar (August 27).
